Building Projection Sammy the Reindeer

Urban Tech Creative delivered a large-scale festive projection in Ipswich, transforming Cornhill into a vibrant public destination during the Christmas period. The installation featured Sammy the Reindeer, extending the narrative of our augmented reality app into the physical environment and creating a shared, accessible experience for visitors.

Working in collaboration with Saturn AV and Eggbox Studios, we produced a bespoke animated film projected across the square, using a prominent building facade as a canvas. The story followed Sammy exploring Suffolk landmarks, set to a specially commissioned festive soundtrack.

The projection ran on a programmed loop throughout peak hours and concluded with a clear call to action, encouraging audiences to engage with the AR experience. Urban Tech Creative led site surveys, feasibility studies, and technical coordination to ensure a robust and impactful delivery.
